Transportation Officer (6 months, fixed term)
Do you have interest and experience in road safety, or in a general transportation related discipline, and are you looking for a new challenge?
We are looking for a self-motivated, customer focused individual to join us and take on a role which will see you maintain and promote the Council's Community Road Safety Programmes and initiatives, and provide administrative support to the Transportation team, while a member of the team is on parental leave.
You will be the first port of call as the interface between our customers including key stakeholders in the community and the Council's road safety and operational activities. You will have the necessary skills to liaise with our customers and to facilitate our road safety promotion and delivery of associated programmes.
To be successful in this role you will have at least three years office administration experience and a high level of digital literacy including the use of Microsoft Office and other databases. You will also ideally have experience in a public relations, health promotion, community development or injury prevention role, and experience in road safety and operational roading matters.
The start date for this position is Monday 25th November 2019.
